measure the lace around your head and cut it so that it is slightly smaller
cut a small bit of elastic and two small strips of felthot glue the ends of the lace to the elastic then hot glue the felt strips around the ends to secure them
as promised it is super simple and super cute!

perfect day

good morning!!

we got our first snow fall f.i.n.a.l.l.y.it got me really excited
i put christmas music on
started making some christmas cards
got my leg warmers out
did some christmas shopping
had a great evening with clint, his sister and brother in law
and to end it all off went to a matt good concert

the concert hall was built in 1906 and they have kept it looking beautiful
i didn't want to brave the icy roads so i spent the night in the city
so this morning im catching up with dear friends and sippin some nice strong coffee
since im still chillin in the city ill do some christmas shopping and such before the malls get to busy but i just need to pick up a few things since this year im trying to do handmade gifts

what handmade gift ideas do you have? leave me a link if you have tutorials on your blog i'd love to see some different ideas

try crepes for supper!

tonight i made crepes for supper.
they were so easy to make and super yummy.
the recipe i used

1 cup unbleach flour
1 1/4 cups milk
2 eggs

see what i mean super duper simple

heat a skillet on medium high heat
put a dab of oil in the pan, swirl it around
pour a ladle of batter into the pan and swirl it around
once the top of the crepe is looking dry flip it over
and repeat
this recipe makes about 10-12 crepes

there are also lots of different fillings for crepes
- peanut butter and bananas
- sautéed peppers with cheese or sour cream
- sautéed mushrooms
- maple syrup
- fruit of your choice

you can also add flavour into the batter by adding garlic powder or sugar depending on if you like sweet or savoury

there are so many possibilities!

enjoy and let me know what you like to fill your crepes with

life as of late

This week has flown by, for goodness sakes it November already and I live in Canada and we still have no snow! I'm not complaining but its weird. I have never had a birthday without snow so we will see if this is the year. I still have a couple weeks but we have been having +13 weather as of late.
Halloween was such fun i hung out with great friends and dressed up as Pocahontas. Even though its been nice out I still love curling up with a cup of tea and a blanket, its just that time of year.
it is also the time to bake, bake, bake
if you have been looking at my 25 by 25 list i am trying to do a year of handmade gifts, Christmas is posing to be difficult for this but i'm trying to find time to make something for everyone in my big family....my attempt at an i phone snuggie I found these cuties the other dayAnd you know me i always have to have a sky picture
Blessings,
Amber

coconut latte

the other day i got a coconut latte
y.u.m....
i usually stick to the same three: caramel, chai, and pumpkin spice (for this time of year)
well i went out of my comfort zone and tried something new and it was so yummy!!

i tried to make my own version at home.
toast up some coconut
make some yummy espresso
set the toasted coconut aside
warm up some milk or soy milk and froth it
- my frothers batteries are dead so i whisked the heck out of it
you can also add sugar or honey if you like

pour it into a mug and top with coconut and enjoy!!
