school has started and summer is coming to an end.

ma new earring holder

On my thifting adventures this past weekend I found the perfect hoop and fabric! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. And so my new earring holder was born. Now I can see them sitting there looking pretty. It was the simplest little project and instant gratification! Just what I like.

I {heart} owls - 1

Dear friends,


I am not sure how many of you know this but I LOVE owls!! So for the next couple of Tuesdays I'm going to share my extensive collection with you. Every time I go thrifting I am on the hunt to add to my collection. I love them all cute, vintage, stuffed, drawn, the list could go on! So the lovely I am sharing today is one of the newer owls to my collection. I just thought it was so darn cute! Its an owl bank and says rainy days on it.


Look at them aren't they just darling, my heart smiles! It's a little chipped but that's ok it adds character.

this and that

yesterday was my brothers birthday and so i brought one of my friends along to our family dinner. it was a good visit, i didn't get to see much of my family over the break as i did a lot of house jumping, i saw people for short spurts during the holidays. the evening was great, we had grandma's cooking so ya can't go wrong there. my brother had a volleyball game so everyone else went out to go watch while my friend and i headed back to dorm. i started working on my surprise, its a lot more work than i thought it would be but it will SO be worth it!
i also found some goodies on the weekend at the local thrift store

ah such a wonderful week! i have spent good quality time with friends and there is more wonderful hang out time coming up soon (tomorrow)! i know i have said this time and time before but i have wonderful friends! this week some wonderful ladies and i went to the local thrift store and found some sweet goodies!! i got some more knitting needles, which i am so very pleased with as well as this treasure...

and as if this day couldn't get any better one of my dear dear friends brought me starbucks while i was babysitting! i am so blessed!

as i had mentioned in early posts it was my birthday and brace yours i got a sewing machine!! i won't be bringing it to school because i would never get anything done! i will post pictures, its a wonderful vintage viking machine, i absolutely love it! (thanks momma!)
