happy birthday my love

Happy Monday lovelies!

Today is a special day, why? Well if my title doesn't give it away today is my boyfriends birthday! We celebrated on Saturday and had lots of fun! He is getting his present later today once he is home from work. (It is reading week for me this week and so I'm chilling out with him and the fam all week. The best way to spend the week by far... I may have some homework that will need to get done sometime in between too.)
So for his birthday I made two 'option' cards.
{options 1&2}
Both cards had a place we would eat and something we would get to do.
{option card # 1}
The first option was to go to Mongo's, such a yummy place to eat and lots of fun too because you get to make your our stir fry and watch it get cooked. After diner we would have to option of going to a movie... of Clint's choice! Clint is so great and lets me pick the movies most of the time but since it was his birthday I would let him pick.

{option # 2}
Second option was to go out for sushi at our favorite sushi spot, yummy! Then we would go skating, but we live in Manitoba so there has to be a back up plan in case its to cold or windy. So there was also the option of going to a glow in the dark mini golf course. It's dino themed and so much fun!

Clint opened the cards and picked.......... option # 1!! Woo! So we hopped in the truck and headed to the city. I took some goofy pictures on the way, the city is a little over an hour away.

{so pleased}
I was trying to get pictures of us while driving, (I know, not the smartest idea) Clinty kept telling me that he had to keep his eyes on the road, such a good driver! But I snatched this one while he was looking.

Gush! I love him!So we got to the city and went for supper. It was his first time going to Mongo's and he loved it! It may become a regular spot for us. After creating our yummy stir fries we headed to the theater. Clint was really pumped because he was really wanting to watch...

I had to laugh because there were families with young kiddos all around us, then us a twenty something couple. We are kids at heart. It was a really good movie, but I wouldn't advise it for kids. At times I wanted to cover all the kids eyes and ears for them. (Click here for a Chrsitian movie review). After the movie we picked up some french vanilla capps for the drive home, of course they were roll up the rim from Tim Hortons, and Clint won a donut. So exciting! I'm 0-4 for this season of roll up the rim.

That was our Saturday evening. Lots of fun!

Blessings,
Amber
