micah // 3 months

this cutie pie turned 3 months a little while ago and i am just now posting... oops!

this little man gave his first giggles to daddy, rolled over for the first time, loves his jolly jumper, has been transitioned to cloth diapers, loves when daddy comes home, enjoys sleeping on our walks, chews his thumb and pointer finger, has a dimple, loves to smile, eyes up our food, visited another province and kicks his way across the room. 

we love you little man. you are filled with so much joy and are so sweet and tender when you tell us stories. you bring so much joy into our lives and we pray for you daily.

one month:: wedding pictures

wow time has passed quickly! clint and i have already been married for a month. it has truly been and amazing month but where has the time gone?

i thought i would share some of my favorite wedding pictures to celebrate our one month of marriage. i am absolutely in love with the pictures that our amazing photographer captured! 

i am so glad that one month ago i was able to marry my best friend and start this amazing new chapter in life with him. i am so thankful that God placed such an amazing man in my life and that we get to journey together through it all.

 

some things that i am learning and being reminded about clint:

this man l.o.v.e.s. his sleep, i knew that before but didn't realize how much!

he is not easily angered 

organization, not his strong point

he cares about how our home is decorated

 he is beyond laid back

he talks, turns lights on, and has whole conversations in his sleep

some things i am learning and being reminded about myself:

i am not good at sitting down and relaxing, there is also something that needs to be done!

meal planning is my new best friend

i am a morning person

i don't need much sleep to function

i love having fresh flowers in the house

 everything has a place, i love organization

 our first month of marriage has been fantastic and i am excited to spend the rest of my life with this amazing man. i am excited to see what our future holds, where God will lead us and the amazing adventurous we will go on.

the little things this week

Hello friends!

was it a rainy week where you were? it was very rainy here which meant umbrellas, and crocheting.

i needed to made a hook case because i am a.l.w.a.y.s. misplacing my hooks. if you were to look in my multiple purses that i rotate though in a week you could probably find at least one in every bag. hopefully i can find them all and they can find a home in this felt roll up.

along with rainy days come warm beverages!

i needed some timmies but they don't have cup sleeves so i used what i had in my car...

i'm pretty sure this is all sorts of wrong!

with the cooler weather i was more than happy to curl up in my cozy granny square blanket

and enjoy the company of friends.

i also conquered my fear of crocheting mitts, mind you they are fingerless but that just means they are perfect for texting or playing drawsomething. i also got some new lip gloss burts bees pink blossom, just the perfect amount of pink ting.

and the best part of this week is that i get to spend the weekend with this guy!

besties, lattes & love

this week was pretty laid back but still super great.

i had girl time with my bestie!
i love her to pieces!
it also happened to be clint's birthday this week.
so i took him out for the evening.

we headed to an east indian restaurant that we had never been to before and let me tell you the food was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. i definitely want to go back there.
after supper we perused indigo.
then sat down to visit and some yummy lattes.
after lattes we headed to the theater to watch sherlock 2.
i really want the urban camouflage suits, if you have seen it you know what i mean!
they just crack me up.
i told some friends that they would make fantastic wedding gifts for clint and i.
this man!
oh how i love him.
i am so blessed to have this amazing man in my life and i cannot wait for him to be my husband!
let the adventuring continue!

favorite engagement pictures

starting tomorrow i have an amazing line up of women sharing about wedding prep and marriage. i am super duper excited about it i am calling the series
{marriage on my mind}
i mean i do have it on my mind... a.l.o.t.

so to kick it off i am posting some of my very favorite engagement pictures! taking pictures was so much fun.
it was c.o.l.d. good thing we are fond of each other so we were able to snuggle and keep warm
we stayed on campus to take pictures and i'm so glad we did because it is where we met, where we got engaged, and where we are getting married.the campus is so beautiful.
trees everywhere, a small river running through it, and old brick buildings i really love this guy and i am super excited that i will get to call him husband soon!

my life this week according to my phone

as i write this post it is almost friday.
earlier today i was thinking about how slow this week has gone by but
i just realized that its almost friday, when did this happen?

this week was the start of my final semester!
i don't know if i should be super excited {which i tell everyone i am} or terrified.
where have the last four years gone?
am i supposed to be all grown up now that i have a degree?
what i do know is that i love starting a new notebook there is just something about it.
am i alone on this?i love this guy!
i'm not really sure if i am able to say that enough.
although you are probably getting sick of it by now.
but i have been told to treasure this time of being engaged.
the 'in between' stage and that is exactly what i am doing!my favorite
snail.mail.
enough saidthe smell of a freshly opened bag of coffee beans.
that is what my heaven will smell like, and maybe my grandmas bakingcute bows for hair? yes please!
making it that morning because it just went so well with the outfit...

handmade valentine: coffee sleeve

happy monday!

im coming at you with another cute valentines tutorial.
i made it for myself, but we don't need to tell anyone that.
what you need:
-old coffee sleeve
-felt (two colours of your choice - i'm canadian and i spell colour with a u)
-needle
-embroidery thread
-scissors
-pencil
-buttons (if you wish)
layout a coffee cup sleeve and trace around it
but make sure it's a bit bigger than the paper onecut out what ever shape you wish to, i picked a heart because i had red felt
stitch, stitch, stitch around the heart
then stitch around the tops and bottom of the cuff

then where the ends meet i stitched two buttons on,
and i forgot to take a picture of it :(then use your cute new reusable coffee sleeve or gift it to someone you love!
